part of the Set and Turn Single family
The Set and Turn Single web site contains listings of all the dance events that we know about. We list dances in the "English" tradition which includes English country dance, "Playford" style dances, contra dances and ceilidhs. See the frequently asked questions pages for more information about what type of events we list.
To search for an event click the What's on button in the menu and and then choose Search from the calendar page.
There are two ways to get your event listed on the Set and Turn Single website. If you're a registered user you can log-in and enter the details yourself. If you're not registered then send us your information using this form. Fill in the form and click "Submit".
The Set and Turn Single Directory lists folk dance clubs, together with musicians, bands and callers. To appear in the directory or to update your entry, please fill in one of these forms.
If you organise regular dance events, you can register to enter them directly on the STS website. We are now able to accept more users. If you're interested, please fill in this form to register.
Set and Turn Single No. 83 was posted out to subscribers at the end of August. You may be wondering how the event listings in the printed magazine relate to those here on the website. The answer is that the website is now the definitive source for all event listings. Clubs can go online and update their events whenever they want and there is (virtually) unlimited space for details of artists, venues, times, prices, etc. All the events that are listed here on the website will be copied into the relevant magazine when it is issued. The reverse is not true. So please make sure your event details are kept up to date at setandturnsingle.org.uk.
The deadline for Set and Turn Single No. 84 is 10 October 2013, but please send your material sooner if possible.
