Our 'What's on' calendar lists thousands of folk dancing events throughout the UK. We include a wide range of dance styles - English country dance, contra, Playford, ceilidhs and barn dances - as well as festivals and holidays.
Use the newly updated search tools to find events you're interested in. You can search geographically by entering your location and the distance you want to travel. Or select 'Search events' from the menu to find specific text. Use the drop-down boxes above the calendar to jump to a different date.
The directory section has contact information for folk dance clubs, musicians and callers. Use the search box to find text or select a category. Clicking on the column headings changes the sort order.
Why not come along to an dance near you? Events are normally open to the public and welcome new visitors and beginners. If in doubt, contact the organisers beforehand.
To avoid disappointment, please check with organisers for any late changes before travelling. Happy dancing.
There are two ways to get your event listed on the Set and Turn Single website. If you're a registered user you can log-in and enter the details yourself. If you're not registered then send us your information using this form. Fill in the form and click "Submit".
The Set and Turn Single Directory lists folk dance clubs, together with musicians, bands and callers. To appear in the directory or to update your entry, please fill in one of these forms.
If you organise regular dance events, you can register to enter them directly on the STS website. We are now able to accept more users. If you're interested, please fill in this form to register.
Set and Turn Single No. 85 will be posted to subscribers at the end of December. The 2014 Directory will be posted with it. You may be wondering how the event listings in the printed magazine relate to those here on the website. The answer is that the website is now the definitive source for all event listings. Clubs can go online and update their events whenever they want and there is (virtually) unlimited space for details of artists, venues, times, prices, etc. All the events that are listed here on the website will be copied into the relevant magazine when it is issued. The reverse is not true. So please make sure your event details are kept up to date at www.setandturnsingle.org.uk. It is your responsibility to enter your events on your STS website.
The deadline for Set and Turn Single No. 86 is 10 February 2014, but please send your material sooner if possible.
